Heartbreaking Story
of a Meth Addict

Stuffed animal

A former Oklahoma police officer tells a real-life story of a girl that ended up in prison for drug charges and lost her 2 kids.

The girl’s name was Sarah. She was young and had 2 kids—a 2 month-old baby and a little 4-year-old boy. Sarah moved from Oklahoma to Florida to take on a job. She was doing well, enjoyed her job and took care of her children. A short while later she got fired, could not get another job and decided to go back to Oklahoma.

She had gotten addicted to meth.

The former police officer tells:

“I executed a search warrant one day and this particular one is still vivid in my memory. When I first got the call to go to this lady’s house and arrived at the scene, I could tell something was not quite right. I went inside the house and found two filthy, dirty and unhealthy children. One seemed to be about a year old and the other one about five years old. As I walked into the kitchen I noticed trash literally everywhere. There was meth in a baby bag on a counter and, Sarah, the young children’s mom, was cooking meth in the kitchen—right next to the baby bottles. There were used needles—including on the floor right where the children were playing.
“Sarah went to prison for drug charges. The children went into another’s care.
“Had Sarah gotten help with her addiction she would still have her children.”

This is a shout out to anyone who is battling addiction or their loved ones. Get help now. Don’t wait until it is too late. Please.
