Drug Personality Discovered

The behavior of an addict can be frustrating, baffling, frightening and yes, sad. The mind-altering power of addictive substances is so strong that many people are overwhelmed. Their actions and words are dictated by their drive for more drugs. Without realizing that drug use is behind the odd, erratic, abusive or criminal behavior you’re observing, the mystery will continue for years as to what happened to your loved one.

Once you know what’s going on, you can make better decisions and take the right action—that is my goal for teaching the public about the drug personality.

You ask yourself: “How did I raise a criminal, an addict, and a liar?” The answer is that you did not. Drugs altered them, and more often than not, it’s the doctor who first prescribed a medication, which was the entrance point that later turned into an addiction. But your loved one is still there, despite the drug abuse. There are two major phenomena you’ll need to consider when looking for the signs of addiction—physical appearance and behavioral traits. To make referencing easy, I’ve listed them below.

Behavior Traits of an Addict

Accusing addict

1. They compulsively lie.
2. They manipulate.
3. Commonly engage in criminal acts.
4. An addict will shift the blame.
5. They often become abusive.

Physical Signs of Addiction

Addict

1. Deterioration of their physical appearance.
2. Inability to sleep or an uncontrollable urge to sleep.
3. Noticeably poor personal grooming habits.
4. Tremors, slurred speech, or impaired coordination.
5. Bloodshot eyes, enlarged or pointy pupils.

There Is Hope

Hope is possible when a person enters an effective rehabilitation program and overcomes their need for drugs and alcohol; therefore, it’s possible to recover one’s interest in life and to lose the continuous craving for drugs.

Not every program focuses on bringing about these changes, as many programs medicate the person in recovery with methadone, suboxone, antidepressants or anti-anxiety drugs—in essence, replacing one drug addiction for another and never dealing with the cravings that will happen in the future. But this isn’t the only method of rehabilitation.

The Narconon program was developed by Humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard in the 1960’s and is dedicated to bringing about major changes in a person’s life. Not only are there no drugs given as part of the Narconon program, the program also focuses on a healthy method to detox the body of old drug residues which when done properly, eliminates cravings, therefore freeing the person from drug dependency.

This recovery takes time, therefore we set no time constraints on the Narconon program, allowing the student to complete the program at their own pace.  Addicts are in desperate need of a solution that resolves ALL the factors that cause or contribute to their addiction. The rehab program that we offer is a lifeline full of hope for the addict. The high success rate and the holistic program is oriented toward:

  • Detoxing the body of the harmful drug chemicals.
  • Establishing good life skills such as communication and ethics.
  • Eliminating guilt.
  • Regaining self-respect and self-control.

Narconon Arrowhead is Narconon’s leading drug rehabilitation center for nearly half a century, and has proven time and again that if a person can identify and overcome the initial problems that led to their addiction, they can ultimately regain their self-respect and self-control. Should you or someone you know need drug or alcohol addiction treatment, please contact us Narconon.
