SuccessThe Narconon Arrowhead treatment program is unique in the field of drug rehabilitation, taking a proven and highly workable holistic and drug-free approach to rehabilitating the individual, enabling the person to live a drug-free life as a participating and productive member of society.

An Overview

The Narconon program consists of 8 courses of treatment which when done together and in sequence, accomplish full physical detoxification ridding the body of toxins and drug residuals, the individual’s personal realizations as to the root causes of his or her addiction, and an ability to identify and solve problems and change unwanted conditions for the better in his or her life. The Narconon Program successfully addresses and handles the three barriers to successful recovery from substance abuse—the physical drug cravings, the lingering depression and the guilt from past misconduct connected to drug or alcohol abuse.

Overcome Substance Abuse: 3 Components

In addressing the rehabilitation of an individual, it is vital that the treatment program focus on the healing of the whole person, mentally, physically and spiritually. The Narconon program provides the communication and life skills courses through which the person can heal mentally and spiritually, and the sauna detoxification which rids the body or drug residuals and toxins with a consequent resurgence of physical wellbeing.

The treatment curriculum gives an individual the opportunity to recover from substance abuse, and gain the ability to live successfully while maintaining a drug-free life.  The program’s focus on the physical and mental healing of the individual in combination with the life skills services gives the person the power to once again gain and maintain control of his or life, and the choices made.

Three integral components of the Narconon Arrowhead program are the Training Routines designed to improve communication, the sauna detoxification that reduces the body burden of drug toxins, and the life skills courses.  Let’s take a more in-depth look at each one of these 3 components.

The Therapeutic Training Routines

These are a series of communication exercises and drills done in a classroom setting and supervised by a trained Narconon counselor. They result in a renewed ability to face and comfortably communicate with another person.  These exercises also help the person begin to exercise his ability to control his attention and focus on the here and now.  Of great benefit in the rehabilitation of this ability to control one’s own attention is it keeps the person from wandering back through drug or alcohol related memories, problems or misdeeds.

The New-Life Detoxification Program

Because physical and mental cravings for drugs are one of the most common reasons people leave their treatment program before it is completed and are a common source of relapse upon leaving rehab, this component of the Narconon treatment program is a key part of the overcome substance abuse.

The toxic buildup of drug residues that stay lodged in a person’s body, in addition to contributing to drug cravings long after the person quits taking drugs, can result in cloudy thinking, limited attention span, and irritability and fatigue.

Life Skills Courses

The third key component of overcome substance abuse are the Life Skills Courses.  These courses of study provide vital tools and skills for a person to use in creating and maintaining their drug-free life, for changing and improving conditions in life and achieving the goals set for self, for relieving themselves of transgressions and making-up any damage done, and repairing relationships with others.  Finishing-up the program with The Way to Happiness Course sets the person’s feet firmly on the road to a good life.

As one successful graduate who had overcome addiction through the Narconon Arrowhead program had to say, “I am happy on a daily basis and have found a way to leave all of the things that happened to me in the past. I am able to set goals for myself now.”
