I Have Done the Work and Earned My Freedom From Drugs and Alcohol

It truly is amazing to be standing here knowing I’ve done the work and earned my freedom from drugs and alcohol. I get to go home knowing I have tools to help me when needed.

Once upon a time, February 25th to be exact, upon arrival at Narconon, I knew I needed help. I was not surviving and far from thriving. I remember getting blown up by my dad and Danielle, who asked me numerous times to please not run away, that I would be leaving for the program that night. I managed to make the flight, and I’m very grateful I did.

I spent 36 days in the New Life Detoxification, and I thought it was never going to end. After a while, it truly felt like a wonderful experience to endure. I can’t say I’ve ever felt as healthy and as clean as I did from taking vitamins, exercising, and sweating out toxins. But here I am: clear body and clear mind, free from drugs and alcohol.

Not only did I realize some cool things about what I have going for me in my life, but doing and running 15 Objectives have taught me patience, and I can be in present time. I’ve picked up beading again, and I never would have if it weren’t for what Objectives taught me. I appreciate the twin I had; he made my experience worth it.

If you have nothing good to bring to my life, then I exit yours. Not only am I leaving here drug-free, but I don’t have the ties of my past with me. I am on good terms with loved ones, and a weight has been lifted off of me. I no longer feel the need to carry past burdens and past mistakes, as I’ve taken full responsibility for my actions and will be able to walk the stairs to my success. I have applied the steps to change my conditions to improve my life further.

A lot of the work I’ve done was very difficult at times, but at the end of the day I know I’ve gotten the most out of this program.

During the time I’ve spent here, I’m able to say everything I do or have done was well thought out and will help carry me forward. I will continue to heal and journey on in my recovery.

Stand tall, wear a crown, and you have what it takes to be the best version of yourself. Each and every one of you deserves a life full of possibilities and sobriety. It’s so worth the time you spend here, and the staff here want your best interests. Work hard, play hard.

“Narconon has changed my life and all the money in the world could not repay this beautiful experience or the work I did while I learned to thrive and survive.”

I felt like I did myself good, and once I walk out those doors, I’m solid. Narconon has changed my life, and all the money in the world could not repay this beautiful experience or the work I did while I learned to thrive and survive.

Thank you, Dad, for getting me here and believing in me when I made it impossible for anyone to. My dad has seen the worst with me and saw with his own eyes eight treatment facilities fail me. Once this opportunity was there and presented, Dad, I took it; I’m here. You and my mom don’t have to live in fear that I would be dead somewhere. I can’t wait to share the new me with my mama and you. I know this is what you guys always wanted. I love you.
