If you’re asking yourself “will the Narconon Program change my life?” the answer is “YES”. I am Saundra, a forty-three-year-old from Claremore, Oklahoma, and I want to tell you about my journey. At thirty-two years old, I decided to try to lose weight by using methamphetamines. I was in an abusive relationship and trying to save my marriage.

My perspective changed after getting addicted to meth. I gave up on my marriage and my life started spiraling out of control. That contributed to me losing my children to foster care and my parents having to raise them. I went into a deeper depression that caused me to try to escape reality with meth and alcohol. I was doing it every way possible like smoking, snorting and eating it. Over time, I opened up my house to 12 other addicts, creating a trap house that was unsuitable for anybody. I started on the needle and pretended that I loved my trap queen life. I couldn't hold a job. I had no perception of time. Things were spiraling out of control. I tried a couple of state-funded rehabs but that system didn’t work and I would continue to just go back to drugs and alcohol.

Everything changed in August of 2021 when I walked through the doors at Narconon Arrowhead. The staff were the most welcoming and understanding team through this process. I spent nine days in the withdrawal area coming off of meth, alcohol, and some prescription medication. Then, I did twenty-eight days in the sauna program for detoxification. This was so valuable to be able to get your body and your health to a prime level before working consistently on your mental state.

Working on my mental state was the most valuable thing about Narconon and it changed my life. After you get your body healthy you begin to start working on your mindset. The objectives part of the classroom provided endless opportunities to explore and retrain my mindset and this unraveled time for me. With each and every step I began to understand how all the things in my childhood, my teenage years, and all the way through my adult years affected my addiction. I had realizations and manifestations that were physical and emotional. You start to gain new abilities and regain old abilities.

When putting my life into perspective and getting ready to leave Narconon, I sat with a staff member for countless hours putting together a game plan to re-enter my family and the community. I decided who I could keep in my life and who I had needed to break ties with. I cannot express the importance and the value of taking the extra time to really focus on a plan for the future and be prepared, both emotionally and physically. It was out of this world.

“I have now been clean for 4 years. I was able to get my children out of foster care and get sole custody back only four months after leaving Narconon...”

I have now been clean for 4 years. I was able to get my children out of foster care and get sole custody back only four months after leaving Narconon because of their legal team helping me work to with the court system. I cannot thank Narconon enough for the extra time that they took to help me.

One of my goals was to return to working at Macy’s supply chain. It took me six months after rehab to get rehired but not only was I able to get my job back, I was able to set goals and apply what I learned at Narconon to achieve them. The techniques I learned at Narconon helped me to become part of the leadership team. I run my own department now for this peak season. And I know that I have a future in this company because of my newly found perspective because of the teachings at Narconon. I always like to mention that for the first time in my life, after leaving Narconon, my timing with meetings, work, family events, and any kind of appointment is 100% reliable. I was always, my entire life, that person that was two hours late everywhere. I was always rushing and never able to control time. Not anymore. I value other people's time and am completely able to control my schedule so that I can have perfect attendance in all life aspects.

In closing, I'd like to say to go to Narconon. It's never too late to get your life right. It’s amazing living a life with integrity and respect for yourself. That will show and shine for everyone to see.
