Pepperoni PizzaWe all have dreams.  It is the stuff of which life is made.  Some of our dreams remain only that, but we derive satisfaction and pleasure in the dreaming.  Others of our dreams we bring to fruition, and they become a cherished reality.  This is the story of one of those dreams, and how Narconon Arrowhead and its drug rehabilitation program played a major part in making a young man’s dream come true.

A Narconon Arrowhead Graduate’s Story

Seven years ago, Mike George was a drug addict, caught in the revolving door of rehab-relapse-jail, and for years.  For anyone who has experienced it, or for their loved ones who watch in hopeless desperation, it can be a deeply hopeless condemnation to a life of misery.

But Mike was more fortunate than many in a similar situation to his, and not an uncommon one to those trapped in the cycle of addiction.  His family did not give-up, and in their search for help for their son, they found Narconon Arrowhead on the internet.  Mike agreed to come, and try the Narconon’s proven, non-traditional and drug-free approach to rehabilitation.

When Mike arrived at Narconon Arrowhead and started the program, he knew that it was special, and was designed to put him in a position to succeed in his life, armed with real and workable life skills tools, and the ability to face-up to the challenges of life, and overcome them without resorting to drugs.

As Mike continued through program, starting with the Drug-Free Withdrawal, and moving on to its different phases, including the New Life Detoxification Program which removes the drug residues that trigger reminders of doing drugs or alcohol, and the comprehensive and life changing Life Skills part of the program, he came to realize his responsibility for his own life and the decisions he had made in the past, and would make in the future.

According to Mike George, one Life Skills course in particular helped him in achieving his entrepreneurial dream of owning and operating his own restaurant, Georgeo’s Pizza, which opened in Crowder, Oklahoma on the 25th of May, 2013.  It was the Changing Conditions in Life Course where he learned how to take exact steps to better the areas of his life, and how to go about actually achieving his goals.  He used the tools he learned on that course, and as a result, he decided to remain at Narconon Arrowhead after graduating from the full rehab program, to train-up to work there and help others as he had been helped himself.  That was over six years ago, and he is still helping.

A Narconon Arrowhead’s Graduate’s Dream Come True

It was Mike George’s longtime dream to own his own business, and while working at Narconon Arrowhead helping others to achieve their goal of a drug-free life, he also used the tools and skills he learned while on the rehab program to create his business. He formulated a business plan and a budget in order to open the doors to his dream, Georgeo’s Pizza, one that serves authentic Italian food you would expect to find in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  The restaurant is located not far from Narconon Arrowhead, the place where Mike’s dream was given new life.  He is proud to have become a self-established entrepreneur, able to give back to the people of Oklahoma, the place where he changed his life.

All are welcome to visit Georgeo’s Pizza, and enjoy the specialty hand-tossed homemade pizza, the hoagies, the calzones, and much, much more. Come and enjoy the excellent food, Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. And perhaps Mike will be there when you visit, and you can personally meet a Narconon Arrowhead graduate who made his dream come true.
