I’ve Hit The Reset Button on Life

When a student graduates the Narconon Program they are essentially starting a whole new life. Each step of the program gives them a different tool and ability to handle the situations encountered in life that need to be overcome in order to maintain sobriety. Here is the success of the most recent Narconon Arrowhead graduate in going through the program:
“The New Life Detox was the right action for me. I hadn’t realized how much alcohol had been affecting me till I started running out the drunkenness on a daily basis. I feel much stronger, more alert and ready to move on to a more productive period of life.
On the Objectives I had a lot of realizations that pointed out to me many simple truths which I’d forgotten about. Things like confronting what’s in front of me and doing something about it. I realized how many incomplete projects I have on hand and how not confronting them was made easy by numbing myself with alcohol. These simple actions helped bring me into present time, a place from which I can start handling my life. It was also gratifying to help my twin through and gave me a bigger sense of responsibility.
The Overcoming Ups and Downs in Life Course helped me evaluate the people in my life. It showed me that while some people did have some anti-social characteristics it was not their predominant state. Using the evaluations as a tool will be helpful in keeping undesirables out of my life. Working with the staff on handlings was also a positive step to help me begin to put things right for the social people in my life that have been affected by my behavior.
The Personal Values book is a great course covering the basics of ethics, justice, morals and honesty and the need to apply these concepts to your life. Further it goes on to having you review your own conduct and for me it pointed out those areas that I need to change to straighten myself out.
It came to me while writing these up just how blind I’ve been regarding the adverse effects that my actions have created. Mostly regarding how much I’d been drinking. I saw too that things could have been much worse it I’d had an accident or was jailed for DUI or had serious liver issues from alcohol. I don’t want to create these effects for my family or myself and won’t moving forward. It helped to open my eyes to how I’ve been living and conducting myself. It has brought about a realization that I need to change and a willingness to do so. Also, a sense of relief and getting it all out there in the open, not trying to hide or withhold it at all. I have an increased sense of responsibility.
“On completing the program I feel like I’ve hit the reset button on life. I’m back to who I was before burying myself in alcohol.”

Thank you for all your work with me and helping me get back in shape.”
