Watching Caterpillars Turn into Butterflies Every Day

This Is Why I Work at Narconon

Hello! My name is Anjel.

I’m here to share the story of my experience working for Narconon Arrowhead.

When I first came to Narconon Arrowhead, to apply for a job, I didn’t quite know what to expect. The interview was in depth, and I was drawn into the idea of a rehabilitation facility that doesn’t treat people like all of the 12 step programs do. Here, it’s not a 12 step program at all.

For me, the logic is simple; people choose to send their family and friends here, because Narconon doesn’t believe in using drugs to get people off of drugs. Think about it! You would never pour gasoline on a fire to put it out. How do you expect an addiction to stop, by feeding it.

I believe I got the job because I share the passion of wanting to help people free themselves, FOR GOOD. However, that is just where it began. I was then sent into 60-day training, at the facility. All of the staff here go through the same program that the students do, every last step, plus our specialist training. It helps us all know what the students are going through with their addiction, and it creates a very good environment for everyone. I believe it makes us all feel the more “human” side of things, and it gives us a true compassion for the people that are here for help.

Seeing people go from a completely dependent person to their own new beginning really touches my heart. I’m glad to be here. For me, it’s not about the money. I really care for everyone who goes through this. The Narconon program gives people the tools they need to be in control and be happy. Getting someone back after rehab is like getting the person you felt like you lost back! At Narconon Arrowhead, I’m a part of these life-changing experiences. I watch caterpillars turn into butterflies every day. I am happy to help, and this is something I truly believe in.
