Chandler’s Experience with Narconon Arrowhead Rehab

An addict’s decision to reclaim his or her life from addiction can be the beginning of a very challenging, yet very rewarding journey. Achieving the end-result of once again living life without chemical dependency, and a chance to create a new and drug-free life may seem out-of-reach when mired in the darkness and despair of addiction and the addiction lifestyle. But there is always hope.

Chandler

This is one young man’s story of reclaiming his life from addiction at the Narconon Arrowhead drug and alcohol rehabilitation and education center in Southeastern Oklahoma.

Before deciding to come to Narconon Arrowhead, Chandler says his life was bad. He was getting high all the time. He says he was lazy. And he ultimately ended-up in jail.

Fortunately, his family decided they wanted to help him get clean, and Chandler agreed with them.

When he arrived at Narconon Arrowhead, he says he was a little nervous at first. But when he got into the initial phase of the program immediately upon arrival, the Drug-Free Withdrawalphase of the Narconon program; he found that the people who worked there made him feel really comfortable with himself.

While on the Narconon program, he found that he became more talkative. He met new people. “It was cool”, he says.

His Favorite Part

Chandler says his favorite part of the Narconon program, and the one that helped him the most personally, was the New-Life Detoxification Program, commonly called simply the Narconon Sauna, or Sauna.

He says it was his favorite “because it got all the drugs out of my body”, and that as a result, he felt a lot better about himself.

The Narconon Sauna is unique in the field of drug rehabilitation treatment. It is a program which was developed to assist in the releasing and flushing out of the body accumulated drug and toxic residues which may have become lodged in the body tissues—while also rebuilding impaired cells and tissues.

The Narconon Sauna program at Narconon Arrowhead is done under the careful daily supervision of specially trained personnel in the special sauna-delivery area of the facility.

The elements which comprise the Narconon Sauna include:

  • Exercise, preferably running, to stimulate circulation. The beautiful surroundings of Arrowhead State Park where Narconon Arrowhead is located provide an ideal setting for outdoor exercise.
  • Prescribed periods of time in a moderate, dry-heat sauna; which accompanied by nutrients and certain vitamins enable a person to sweat-out accumulated drug residues and toxins.
  • A nutritional program which includes the person’s regular diet, supplemented with plenty of fresh vegetables, not overcooked.
  • A precise regiment of vitamin, mineral and oil intake
  • Ample liquid intake to offset loss of body fluids through sweating
  • A properly ordered personal schedule providing the person with their normally required amount of sleep

As the Narconon Sauna program can be strenuous for those with certain physical conditions, it is only undertaken after a physical examination and written approval from a medical doctor conversant with the program. Those with physical limitations may require a special program of a milder nature. .

Those completing the New-Life Detoxification routinely report a resurgence in physical and mental well-being. Many report increased energy levels, better and more restful sleep, and increased mental clarity.

Chandler says that now that he is a graduate of the Narconon program, he feels a lot better. He is in better communication with his family, with his friends, and with the people around him.

“I just feel awesome. I have a really good job. I love it!
