Hope for My Future

Friends on the snow

To avoid situations that might lead to drug use in the future, students must be able to identify true friends and the positive people in their lives and, to isolate those likely to lead them back into trouble. On the Overcoming Ups & Downs in Life course, students can learn how poor decisions regarding friends and acquaintances damaged their lives in the past and how to make better choices in the future.

I learned that I am surrounded by a great group of friends and family (I always knew it, but this exercise gave me information supporting the same). In this exercise, I was also given a tool to evaluate everyone I come into contact with to evaluate their social and antisocial traits. This will help me understand people to deal with them accordingly so I will not be subject to bad influences.
I have also been given the opportunity to talk to a social person in my life who has some antisocial traits (but not dominant). I took the high road conversation with that individual and the conversation went well giving me hope for my future.
