Molly

Ecstasy “molly,” was originally created in 1912 as a possible blood clotting agent by the German pharmaceutical company Merck, according to archival research of that company’s records in 2006 the Medical Journal of Addiction. It underwent animal testing but wasn’t tried on humans until the 1950s. Merck became known as the father of Molly and ecstasy, (as the drug was known in party atmospheres.)

Since the new rave era of dub-step and techno music, teenagers and adults have depended on this party drug as a source of psychostimulant, which is the same as one finds in meth. Ecstasy works by increasing the level of the brain function but also increases dopamine and adrenaline.

In extreme cases, it can cause a rapid increase in body temperature, heart rate and blood pressure that can lead to hyperthermia and death! Messing with your brain chemistry is very dangerous.

Ecstasy is sold on the streets today as molly and is usually mixed with meth heroin and other highly dangerous and addictive substances. The visible signs of molly are fairly easy to spot. If you feel like a loved one is using this dangerous substance, they need help.
