Xylazine is a sedative used in veterinary medicine. It currently has no approved uses for humans because of its adverse effects of necrotic skin ulcers if injected, sedation, difficulty breathing, dangerously low blood pressure, elevated blood sugar, slowed heart rate, and coma.
