Right on the Nebraska-South Dakota line, four liquor stores in a town of 14 residents move 4 million cans of beer into the hands of drinkers each year. The effects of all this alcohol on the dry reservation adjacent to town are disastrous. The closure of these stores is a single step in the right direction.
