Drug abuse is a serious situation facing many Oklahoman cities like Jenks. If you are searching for a unique rehabilitation program that does not employ drug replacement therapy, Narconon Arrowhead is the answer. With nearly fifty years of success helping addicts free themselves from substance abuse, Narconon’s holistic approach puts a person back into the driver’s seat and enables them to lead a productive, happy, drug-free life.

Narconon Arrowhead’s nationally renowned, CARF-accredited program is only an hour and a half away from Jenks residents in desperate need of effective addiction treatment. It starts with an assisted withdrawal. Narconon’s trained professionals utilize a multi-faceted approach, centered on a deep-tissue detoxification process that rids the body of accumulated deposits of drugs. One of the most formidable barriers an addict faces is the physical and mental cravings for more drugs. Removing any trace of drugs from the body helps to reduce or eliminate these cravings, as well as improving alertness, mental attitude and cognitive ability. The Narconon New Life Detoxification Program utilizes a moderate-heat sauna along with specific nutritional supplements and mild exercise requirements, all supervised by a trained professional.

Effective Drug Treatment Near Jenks

El Reno Drug Rehab
Having helped over 11,000 addicts battle addiction, Narconon Arrowhead is ready to help your loved one get on the path to sobriety.  Jenks residents are just a short drive from the facility, which is easily accessible via US-64 E and US-69 S.  We understand that overcoming cravings is just one of the many aspects that need to be properly handled during the rehabilitation process. Narconon’s “whole person” approach next addresses two other major obstacles to full recovery: depression and guilt. Through two courses of study, addicts learn real-life communication skills and learn how to cultivate pro-survival relationships while gaining control of their lives and daily interactions. The tools acquired on these courses help the student learn how to stop creating problems that lead to drug abuse. Next up are more “life tools” courses that address the subject of the guilt an addict carries with them regarding past actions and how they have treated loved ones. Most addicts have a tendency to turn their attention inward and to concentrate on personal problems. They are unable to engage in real, meaningful communication with others. Narconon Arrowhead’s trained counselors guide these people through a series of “training routines” in which the addict practices various aspects of communication until they are comfortable in situations that were previously problematic.

These tools, along with many others, provide a holistic physical, mental and spiritual approach that puts a person’s feet firmly on the path to a full and permanent recovery.

Drug Abuse is a Local Issue

Drug abuse in Jenks is a problem affecting many in the community. Two of the top sources of abuse are meth and prescription medications. Methamphetamine use is a problem in many mid-western states, and Oklahoma is no exception. In fact, just recently authorities intercepted approximately thirty thousand dollars worth of the drug (about one pound.) In keeping with the season, the meth was being shipped inside of a stuffed Easter bunny. Methamphetamine abuse takes a horrific toll both on the addict and on the community. It is highly addictive, while at the same time it is highly destructive to body tissues and normal functions. Crime rates inevitably rise in neighborhoods with meth addicts.

Prescription drugs such as strong painkillers and anxiety medications, although perceived to be safe and harmless, are highly addictive and actually just as dangerous as illegal drugs (if not more so.) More Oklahomans die each year from drug overdoses than from car crashes. The vast majority of those overdoses stem from prescription drug abuse. In fact, more people die from prescription drug overdoses than from meth, heroin and cocaine combined. In an effort to curb this growing epidemic, Oklahoma governor Mary Fallin recently signed into law a bill that will require doctors to check a state-wide database when first prescribing three classes of pain medication. They will also be required to check the database at least every six months after the initial check. The purpose of the bill is to curtail a practice known as doctor shopping, in which a patient receives multiple prescriptions by visiting different doctors.
