Addiction Help Near Skiatook

Because there are many rehabilitation options out there, it is important to know what makes Narconon Arrowhead different and what makes it so successful. As with many other programs, the Narconon process starts off with a full withdrawal. How Drug Abuse is Affecting the Skiatook Community

It can be easy to think that drug problems are something that other communities have to deal with, but that Skiatook is immune to. However, this is not the case. Skiatook police have carried out many arrests, including an incident last summer in which four Skiatook residents were arrested on drug-related charges. Two of them were drug dealers and at least one of them was a fugitive in possession of a gun.

In addition to illegal drugs, prescription drugs play a large role in Skiatook’s drug problem. Prescription drug abuse is a problem all across Oklahoma. In fact, Oklahoma’s Pharmacy Board has had to fine some of our state’s pharmacies as a penalty for some serious violations. The Pharmacy Board is charged with ensuring that all safety regulations and protocols are followed to keep Oklahomans safe from the large stores of drugs located in pharmacies. However, it appears that many Oklahoman pharmacies have been negligent in their duties, including one right here in Skiatook that received the largest fine handed out in the state. Violations in the various pharmacies have ranged from pills going missing by the thousands to pharmacists entering false codes into the computer system (which is supposed to monitor prescriptions, prescribing practices, etc.) It was also found that certain health care workers and pharmacy employees were using their positions to illegally obtain hundreds of thousands of pills.
