CALL 1-800-468-6933 FOR TREATMENT HELP NOW!

Drug abuse is an increasingly worrisome problem in Oklahoma. The state ranks near the top of most drug abuse statistics, particularly when it comes to prescription drug abuse. Methamphetamine use is also a serious problem facing the state. If you or a loved one is addicted to drugs or alcohol and you are looking for a rehabilitation program that is proven to work, Narconon Arrowhead can help.  Tahlequah residents are just over an hour away from the CARF-accredited and nationally renowned addiction treatment program at Narconon Arrowhead.  Over 11,000 people have received individualized treatment plans catered to their specific addiction needs.

Narconon Arrowhead is located on Lake Eufaula in Arrowhead State Park. This makes it ideally situated due to its proximity to Tulsa and other major cities in Oklahoma and surrounding states. At the same time, it is far enough from these major cities to provide a distraction-free environment for recovery. Narconon Arrowhead uses a holistic, drug-free approach to rehabilitation. We don’t use drug replacement therapies. These merely substitute prescription medications for illegal drugs, an approach which shifts the person’s addiction to a more “acceptable” substance without actually resolving it. True rehabilitation means the person is no longer dependent on chemical substances of any kind.  Help your loved one live a life free of chemical dependency.  Contact Narconon Arrowhead now!

Addiction Help Near Tahlequah, OK

El Reno Drug Rehab
Tahlequah residents can easily access the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services-certified Narconon Arrowhead program via several major highways, including US-62 W and US-69 S or OK-351. The first major hurdle for a recovering addict to cross is the physical cravings for drugs, which at times can be overwhelming. They are assisted through withdrawal as comfortably as is possible. An important part of the Narconon program includes rebuilding the body’s natural stores of essential vitamins and minerals, which are depleted by repeated drug use. This crucial step strengthens the body’s overall health while decreasing the harmful effects of long-term drug abuse.

Another crucial element of the program is the Narconon New Life Detoxification. This thorough detoxification utilizes a moderate-heat sauna, an exercise program, and nutritional supplements. The addict eliminates every last trace of drugs that have been deposited in the fatty tissues. This greatly decreases or eliminates the physical cravings for more drugs. It also reduces the likelihood of flashbacks, which can occur months or even years after the drug was last taken.

Narconon Addresses the Mental Aspect of Addiction

Ridding oneself of cravings is just one piece of a complete rehabilitation. Narconon’s “whole person” approach also targets two other major barriers to successful recovery: depression and guilt. With the help of trained professionals, addicts learn real-life communication skills. They also learn how to cultivate healthy relationships that will assist them in being happy and successful in life. These new skills often lift a person out of any feelings of depression they may be experiencing. The next step is to address the guilt the person feels regarding past actions and how they have treated loved ones. The Narconon program addresses these issues with practical tools the person can use to relieve themselves of feelings of guilt. They also learn how to prevent future behavior that would cause them to feel guilty again.

These tools, along with many others, provide a holistic approach that puts a person back in the driver’s seat with a full and permanent recovery.

Tahlequah is Suffering From a Rise is Illegal Drug Use

Just last year, a task force was formed to crack down on illegal drug use in Cherokee County. Officials seized many different drugs, including LSD, meth and medical marijuana that were brought into Oklahoma illegally from California and Colorado. The task force has the purpose of making communities safer by reducing or eliminating the illegal drug sales going on all over the county. They have met with much success and plan to continue.

In other local news, police searched the home of a suspected meth dealer, making several arrests and confiscating some meth and a vehicle believed to be used to transport and deliver drugs. Police had previously arrested the suspected dealer, Derek Allen Horney, on drug-related charges. They learned that he was dealing again, so they obtained a warrant and executed a search. Several of the other people arrested were charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
