FOR ADDICTION HELP NEAR YOU CALL 1-800-468-6933 NOW!

Like so make other communities in Oklahoma and surrounding states, Weatherford has seen an increase in drug abuse in recent years. If you are like most Oklahomans, you know of someone who is addicted to illegal drugs, prescription medications, or alcohol. If you or someone you know is searching for an effective, alternative drug rehabilitation facility, Narconon Arrowhead is the answer. Located 3 hours away from Weatherford in Arrowhead State Park, Narconon Arrowhead is ideally situated for a distraction-free rehabilitation experience.

Though many rehabilitation facilities claim to work, Narconon Arrowhead has nearly five decades of experience in producing results that are often considered miraculous by friends and family of addicts. Our approach is unique, and each patient received individualized treatment programs based on their unique situations. After enrollment in the program, the person is first assisted with a full withdrawal. As uncomfortable as this process may be, it is of course crucial to the success of any rehabilitation. The next step is Narconon’s CARF-accredited New Life Detoxification program. Though a detoxification program is offered by many rehabilitation facilities, Narconon’s is the only one that successfully reaches deep into the fatty tissues where drugs are lodged, removing them. This greatly reduces or eliminates the chances of flashbacks or recurrences of the effects of drugs, which can otherwise be triggered when these deposits re-enter the bloodstream months or years after use.

Addiction Help Near Weatherford

Narconon Arrowhead has helped over 11,000 people battle and overcome their serious, life-threatening addictions.  Weatherford residents can easily access our facility via I-40 E.  We understand that addressing the physical aspects of addiction is a vital step in any recovery, but it is only half the battle. In the Narconon program, once the withdrawal and detoxification steps are complete, the person turns his attention to the mental sources of addiction, as well as the depression and guilt that are often present in the mindset of a recovering addict. Narconon’s trained professionals help people to identify and then address the root causes of addiction. They are also skilled at helping people learn communication skills and other life tools that can reverse depression without recourse to prescriptions (which would likely become another source of addiction in the future.) A common concern among recovering addicts is that they won’t be able to regain the trust of the people they care about. To handle this, the former addict addresses the actions they have done that have caused others to stop trusting them. Graduates of the Narconon program are able to form healthy relationships. They have tools they can use to keep themselves from getting into situations that could lead back into drug use. In other words, they get back control of their lives and become confident in their ability to stay drug free.

Drug Abuse Problems Affecting Weatherford

Last month police conducted the single biggest seizure of heroin ever recorded in Parker County. An officer made a routine traffic stop when he spotted a car speeding at 3:30 in the morning. He noticed that the driver and passenger were acting strangely. After obtaining permission to search the vehicle, he discovered more than fourteen pounds of heroin. This seizure will certainly reduce the amount of illegal drugs hitting the streets in our community.

Earlier this year nine people were indicted on charges related to distributing prescription drugs illegally. These individuals would travel long distances to obtain prescriptions from various doctors, and then travel again to fill them. In this way, they obtained drugs that could then be sold illegally on the street. Pharmacists at various locations became suspicious when they started to receive multiple prescriptions from the same doctor, who was located in a different town. They notified authorities, which eventually led to the arrest and indictment of these nine suspects.
