EFFECTIVE DRUG ADDICTION HELP NEAR SEMINOLE

CALL NOW TO LEARN MORE!

Addiction to painkillers, other prescription medications, or illegal drugs is a grave problem facing our community. Every month Seminole, Ok is subjected to wave after wave of illegal meth being brought into the area. At the same time, prescription medications go missing from pharmacies and end up on the streets. This inevitably leads to addiction and a rise in crime. If you are looking for a rehab facility that offers alternative methods combined with an effective, holistic approach, Narconon Arrowhead is the answer. We are situated within driving distance of all major cities in Oklahoma (as well as many in surrounding states) in beautiful Arrowhead State Park. Our campus is designed to provide a distraction-free environment where a person can concentrate all their attention on rehabilitation. Fortunately for Seminole residents, our facility is less than an hour and a half away!

Narconon’s program is unique and has been proven successful over nearly five decades. One important difference between our approach and others deserves specific mention. At Narconon, the aim is to help individuals become truly drug-free. We empower people by releasing them from dependence on any type of drug. For this reason, Narconon will never use drugs such as methadone to “treat” addiction. If a person can only be “rehabilitated” by being on a medication, are they really drug-free? Haven’t they simply traded their addiction for one that is more socially acceptable? Don’t forget, a medical drug is still a drug. A person who is dependent on a prescription for their “sobriety” is NOT drug-free. At Narconon, we have a better way. Let us provide you the drug-free path to recovery. Come to Narconon Arrowhead today!

Addiction Help Near Seminole

Seminole residents can easily access our renowned facility via OK-9 E or I-40 E. Our CARF-accredited program has helped over 11,000 people battle and beat serious addictions. It begins with an assisted, supervised withdrawal. This process can be difficult, but no further rehabilitation steps can be taken until the person has removed all current drugs from their body. The next step on the road to a full recovery is something called the New Life Detoxification program. It is a complete, deep-tissue detoxification that reaches into the fatty tissues of the body to dislodge the deposits of drugs that have built up over time. If these deposits are not eliminated from the body, they can cause recurrences of the drugs’ effects, flashbacks, mental fogginess, and other unwanted conditions. In addition to eliminating drug build-ups, the New Life Detoxification also repairs the physical damage that drug use causes. Drugs use up crucial vitamins and minerals in the body. This causes deficiencies that then lead to diseased conditions and a deteriorated physical state. By strictly adhering to a supervised regimen of nutritional supplements, the bodily damage of drug use can be repaired. It is important that the New Life Detoxification be closely monitored by a trained professional.

The next step of Narconon’s approach calls for an address to the mental and emotional aspects of drug addiction. Narconon is unwavering in our belief that a holistic, drug-free approach is not only best, it is the only way to truly free the individual from future dependence. Therefore, we are drug-free not only in our physical treatment, but also in the treatment of unwanted emotional and mental conditions. Administering a drug to “solve” these conditions only deadens or disguises them. It doesn’t address the root cause of depression or guilt (which often go along with a person’s recovery.) Nor does it empower the person to deal with these conditions in a meaningful, effective way. The Narconon program includes the study and practice of life tools which can be used now and in the future. In this way, we help people to achieve true stability without dependence on medications or other substances.

Drug Abuse Problems in Seminole OK

Though it might be easy (and more comforting) to think of drug addiction as something that happens elsewhere, the truth is that addiction and drug-related problems can happen anywhere, including right in our own back yard. In fact, Seminole County authorities recently arrested twenty-six individuals in connection with a meth ring dealing in methamphetamine made in Mexico. Of the twenty-six arrests, twenty-one were based on warrants issued prior to the bust. Five were arrests done during the course of the bust when individuals were discovered on the premises of the place being raided. This meth ring was responsible for bringing several pounds of meth into our community every month. It will greatly benefit our community to get these drugs off the streets.

Illegal drugs are not the only source of problems in our community. Addiction to prescription medications is also a serious threat. There are supposed to be safeguards in place to prevent pharmacies from becoming sources of illegal use of prescriptions due to theft or loss. Pharmacies are supposed to report any missing drugs. They are also supposed to record the filling of prescriptions for any of three classes of medications in the Prescription Monitoring Program. Doctors are supposed to check the PMP at least every six months to determine if their patient already has prescriptions to the drugs they are seeking. This program was implemented to curb a practice known as doctor shopping, in which patients see multiple doctors to obtain multiple prescriptions. It was found recently, however, that some Oklahoma pharmacies are lagging in the performance of their duties. Thousands of dollars of medications have gone missing. Pharmacists were entering false codes into the PMP. This is troublesome, especially considering that Oklahoma has one of the worst prescription drug abuse problems in the nation.
