Addiction Help Near The Village OK

Over 11,000 addicts have achieve sobriety thanks to Narconon Arrowhead.  Residents of The Village can easily access our facility via I-40 E or the other major highways of OK-9 E or I-44 E.  Some of the points that make the CARF-accredited Narconon program so unique and effective include the New Life Detoxification program and the life skills courses.

The Narconon New Life Detoxification program helps the individual actually eliminate all residual drug toxins that have been stored in their body, and that can remain there for weeks, months and even years after drug use had ended. It is these drug toxins that, once reintroduced to the bloodstream, can lead to cravings and flashbacks that drive individuals to return to drug use in the future. By eliminating these toxins from the body, the individual is less likely to experience the physical triggers that can threaten their future sobriety.

The Narconon life skills courses then help the individual address the mental sources of their addiction and resolve these – without the use of any medications. Program participants are guided through identifying and addressing their own specific underlying causes for their addiction, developing stronger communication skills, rebuilding trusting relationships and learning how to handle the difficult situations that sometimes arise in life.

Taking Action

Several years ago, The Village Police arrested a man in his home after discovering an apparent drug operation, guns and more than $20,000 in cash there. The man admitted that the nearly three thousand grams of marijuana that had been discovered in the home belonged to him, but he also denied that he planned to sell it, despite the fact that officers found lists of what appear to be customer names and account balances.

Just last year The Village Police busted one of the larger drug houses they’ve ever come across, despite the fact that many of the suspect’s neighbors were entirely unaware of its existence. At the time the man was arrested, officers found thirty-four one-pound bricks of marijuana, a jar of marijuana, seven grams of cocaine, scales and packaging material, a 9MM handgun that had been reported stolen out of Oklahoma City and $8,679 in cash in his home.

One neighbor expressed their shock over the arrest and find, as the man had always been friendly with others on the street, even stepping in to help calm down heated arguments between spouses. However, one neighbor knew that something was amiss when he saw that cars constantly drove up to his house, stopped for a short while and then left, a clear indication of a drug house. He tipped off police, who began to collect and sort through the man’s trash. Five times they searched his trash and five times they found evidence of drug activity, which led to the issuance of a search warrant.

Chief Steve Jagosh admitted that the bust was one of the largest they’ve had for marijuana – a full thirty-four pounds of individually packaged weed. The man was arrested at the scene, as were two other individuals who were in the home at the time the search warrant was executed. Chief Jagosh pointed out that this particular case was a perfect example of the value of concerned neighbors taking action to help drive away drug abuse and addiction problems in the community.

Resolving Drug Addiction in The Village OK

While preventative measures such as effective police action are important to help put an end to the problems of drug abuse and addiction, one must also consider the task of bringing about effective recovery in those who have already succumbed to the use of these dangerous substances. This can seem quite daunting, as few people place great faith in the effectiveness of traditional rehabilitation treatment facilities and programs. Fortunately, there is one that is quite unique, highly effective, and not far from The Village.
